


A detailed local data collection in Laos and Cambodia was performed to collect real live data as knowledge base for the content shaping of the training documents. The tools for the data collection were literature review, questionnaires, field assessment and individual interviews.
The survey results were evaluated within the following reports, which are available in English, Lao and Khmer:
Socioeconomic study
Analysis of the current renewable energy sources utilisation by target groups and related economic baseline data as e.g target group income, energy prices, current expenditure for energy, willingness to pay, current cost of inefficiency and pollution.
Educational competences scan (finance and economics) A Scan of financial and economic understanding as well as entrepreneurial competence among trainers, community stakeholders and further project target groups was performed.
Educational competences scan (technological understanding) A Scan of general technological understanding as well as technical competence in fields like electricity, biology and construction among trainers, community stakeholders and further project target groups was performed.
Financing tool scan Scan of options for mini and micro project financing as well as commercial project support schemes from banks, donor organisations and state authorities with catalogue of options for financing tools and credit schemes for small scale projects.
Appropriate technology scan Scan of appropriate technical solutions for renewable energy conversion on the national (Laos and Cambodia) and international level within technical associations, donor agencies and project experiences as well as among corporate offers.
