


4 SHS’s for 4 houses of the Kampong Thom Orphanage were installed on June 21st and 22nd by the REEPRO trainees supervised by DGS, Kamworks, ITC, COMPED and the German-speaking Catholic Community St. Elisabeth in Singapore.
Each house was equipped with four 175 Wp modules, thus a 700 Wp SHS system. The installation was performed as Level 1 course 2 workshop. Next to the installation the trainees got lecturers on the design and operation of SHS’s for the orphan buildings. The complete installation was recorded by video and photo camera as stated earlier.
In Battambang we first started with a PV training. The outcome of the training was surveyed by interviews about 2-3 month after the training.
The target groups in Kampong Chhnang are user and diesel battery charger. A battery charging station was constructed by LOCAP there. In cooperation with LOCAP and the owner of the battery charging station the training was organised.
One training on PV was done already, but the people were very interested in biomass. COMPED consider to perform one biomass training in Phreak Chrey. A concept note for the installation of a SHS system for the Phreak Chrey CAD centre for laptops and lamps for the Cambodian and Vietnamese kids is in preparation.
Svay Rieng belongs to the NPB region, a region lacks of fuel wood. But here is one family operating a biogas plant very engaged. Therefore COMPED plans to perform biogas trainings there.
A Biogas and PV system were installed for practical trainings at the centre.
At the campus was one PV-System installed and one ST Absorber system is planned. Both also for training measurments.
