Training kids including text books, teaching material and teaching descriptions will be developed for Bioenergy, Solar Energy (Thermal and Photovoltaic), policy planning and entrepeneurship. The training will enable the level 1 and 2 training participants to offer training courses by themselves and thus enhance the promotion of renewable energies. All trainees will be enabled to set-up their own business in the renewable energy sector as trainers, planners, constructors, managers of energy service companies, etc. The trainings for each target group (level 1 - engineers, level 2 - technicians, level 3 - community stakeholders) will be offered from January 2008 until December 2009. The project team will select minimum 5 communities for the implementation of the level 2 and 3 training programmes. Those communities will be encouraged to develop and implement show cases – pilot applications of renewable energy technologies.

The REEPRO project team overestimated the abilities of the abilities of the level 1 target group, the experts with an university degree. The content editing workshops showed that the prepared teaching material often was to sophisticated. The participants were not aware about simple basics, like the existence of serial and parallel circuits and the determination of the water content of biomass and some of them even were not able to understand these basics based on the theoretical lecturers only. To overcome this problem, the REEPRO team developed practical experiences to show the trainees these simple basics.
The parallel preparation of text books for different target groups is not very feasible as the authors have to concentrate on two different works at the same time. The subsequent preparation of the books will allow taking into account the feedback of the level 1 trainees for the preparation of the first version of the level 2.
